HK-QF03 Boundary Layer Windprofiler

HK-QF03 boundary layer wind profiler is defined as a pulsed Doppler weather radar, that reliably provides continuous and real-time data of horizontal wind speed, direction and vertical velocity from 100m up to 3000m above the ground level. Combined with optional radio acoustic sounding dsystem (RASS), the atmospheric virtual temperature from 100m up to 1500m can be detected. It is mainly used for:

  • Atmospheric wind field observation and numerical forecast;
  • Weather now-casting;
  • Local environmental gas pollution diffusion process observation;
  • Airflow monitoring to airport airspace;
  • Providing ballistic correction wind data to missile and artillery system;
  • Disastrous weather service.
For adopting advanced technology such as planar micro strip phased antenna, whole solid-state transmitter, and Digital Intermediate Frequency Receiver and so on, The Wind Profiler Radar is capable of impeccable self-observation system and identify-adjusting system, highly automatic and easy to use so that detected data can be transferred with internet, in unattended operation.
