HK-QF16 Troposphere Windprofiler

HK-QF16 wind profiler is defined as a pulsed Doppler weather radar, that reliably provides continuous and real-time data of horizontal wind speed, direction and vertical velocity from 150m up to 16km above the ground level. Combined with optional radio acoustic sounding system (RASS), the atmospheric virtual temperature from 150m up to 5Km can be detected. It is mainly used for:

  • Atmospheric wind field observation and numerical forecast;
  • Weather now-casting; l Local environmental gas pollution diffusion process observation;
  • Airflow monitoring to airport airspace;
  • Providing ballistic correction wind data to missile and artillery system;
  • Disastrous weather service.
It adopts advanced technology such as cross polarization half-wave vibrators active phased antenna array and numerical intermediate-frequency receiver. It is characteristic of impeccable self-observation system, high automaticity, convenience of use, network transmission for detected data and unattended operation.
